The following privacy policy is intended to inform you in particular about the type, scope, purpose, duration, and legal basis for the processing of such data either under our own control or in conjunction with others. We also inform you below about the third-party components we use to optimize our website and improve the user experience which may result in said third parties also processing data they collect and control.

With regard to the data processing to be described in more detail below, users and data subjects have the right

  • to confirmation of whether data concerning them is being processed, information about the data being processed, further information about the nature of the data processing, and copies of the data (cf. also Art. 15 GDPR);
  • to correct or complete incorrect or incomplete data (cf. also Art. 16 GDPR);
  • to the immediate deletion of data concerning them (cf. also Art. 17 DSGVO), or, alternatively, if further processing is necessary as stipulated in Art. 17 Para. 3 GDPR, to restrict said processing per Art. 18 GDPR;
  • to receive copies of the data concerning them and/or provided by them and to have the same transmitted to other providers/controllers (cf. also Art. 20 GDPR);
  • to file complaints with the supervisory authority if they believe that data concerning them is being processed by the controller in breach of data protection provisions (see also Art. 77 GDPR).

In addition, the controller is obliged to inform all recipients to whom it discloses data of any such corrections, deletions, or restrictions placed on processing the same per Art. 16, 17 Para. 1, 18 GDPR. However, this obligation does not apply if such notification is impossible or involves a disproportionate effort. Nevertheless, users have a right to information about these recipients.

Likewise, under Art. 21 GDPR, users and data subjects have the right to object to the controller’s future processing of their data pursuant to Art. 6 Para. 1 lit. f) GDPR. In particular, an objection to data processing for the purpose of direct advertising is permissible.

III. Information about the data processing

Your data processed when using our website will be deleted or blocked as soon as the purpose for its storage ceases to apply, provided the deletion of the same is not in breach of any statutory storage obligations or unless otherwise stipulated below.

Server data

For technical reasons, the following data sent by your internet browser to us or to our server provider will be collected, especially to ensure a secure and stable website: These server log files record the type and version of your browser, operating system, the website from which you came (referrer URL), the webpages on our site visited, the date and time of your visit, as well as the IP address from which you visited our site.

The data thus collected will be temporarily stored, but not in association with any other of your data.

The basis for this storage is Art. 6 Para. 1 lit. f) GDPR. Our legitimate interest lies in the improvement, stability, functionality, and security of our website.

The data will be deleted within no more than seven days, unless continued storage is required for evidentiary purposes. In which case, all or part of the data will be excluded from deletion until the investigation of the relevant incident is finally resolved.

We use cookies on our website. Cookies are small text files or other storage technologies stored on your computer by your browser. These cookies process certain specific information about you, such as your browser, location data, or IP address.  

This processing makes our website more user-friendly, efficient, and secure, allowing us, for example, to display our website in different languages or to offer a shopping cart function.

The legal basis for such processing is Art. 6 Para. 1 lit. b) GDPR, insofar as these cookies are used to collect data to initiate or process contractual relationships.

If the processing does not serve to initiate or process a contract, our legitimate interest lies in improving the functionality of our website. The legal basis is then Art. 6 Para. 1 lit. f) GDPR.

When you close your browser, these session cookies are deleted.

If necessary, our website may also use cookies from companies with whom we cooperate for the purpose of advertising, analyzing, or improving the features of our website.

c) Disabling cookies

You can refuse the use of cookies by changing the settings on your browser. Likewise, you can use the browser to delete cookies that have already been stored. If you create an account with us via our website, we will use this data to be able to connect to you and to provide other registered members of our network with informations of how to get in touch with you. In return you will have access to a list of already registered members. We won’t use the data you've entered during registration (e.g. your name, your address, or your email address, or your phone number) for services leading up to your potential placement of an order or entering some other contractual relationship with us, to fulfill such orders or contracts, and to provide customer care. You are fully in control over the data stored in our system and could decide for yourself what personal information you’d like to share with us in your profile and your account settings.

We do store your IP address and the date and time of your registration. This data will not be transferred to third parties.

During the registration process, your consent will be obtained for this processing of your data, with a reference made to this privacy policy. The data collected by us will be used exclusively to provide your account. 

If you give your consent to this processing, Art. 6 Para. 1 lit. a) GDPR is the legal basis for this processing.

You may revoke your prior consent to the processing of your personal data at any time under Art. 7 Para. 3 GDPR with future effect. All you have to do is inform us that you are revoking your consent. The data previously collected will then be deleted as soon as possible.

You can choose to delete your account even more simply within the settings of your user account. The moment you confirm the deletion process all data will be erased immediately. There is no way for us to restore a closed account and to recover lost data.


Within the registration process you'll be added automatically to the subscribers list of our newsletter. There is a reference made to this privacy policy. You will receive the newsletter that we send out to our Global Communion Network from the moment you've registered. We are going to use your name and your email address provided within the registration process. This data will not be passed on to third parties.

The legal basis for this is Art. 6 Para. 1 lit. a) GDPR.

There is only one way to revoke your prior consent to receive our newsletter under Art. 7 Para. 3 GDPR with future effect. You've got to delete your account. All you have to do is to inform us that you are revoking your consent or delete the account directly in your account settings yourself. There is no way for us to restore a closed account and to recover lost data.


If you contact us via email or a contact form, the data you provide will be used for the purpose of processing your request. We must have this data in order to process and answer your inquiry; otherwise we will not be able to answer it in full or at all.

The legal basis for this data processing is Art. 6 Para. 1 lit. b) GDPR.

Your data will be deleted once we have fully answered your inquiry and there is no further legal obligation to store your data, such as if an order or contract resulted therefrom.

Matomo (formerly: PIWIK)

Our website uses Matomo (formerly: PIWIK). This is open-source software with which we can analyze the use of our site. Data such as your IP address, the pages you visit, the website from which you came (referrer URL), the duration of your visit, and the frequency of your visits is processed.

Matomo stores a cookie on your device via your browser in order to collect this data. This cookie is valid for one week.

The legal basis is Art. 6 Para. 1 lit. f) GDPR. Our legitimate interest lies in the analysis and optimization of our website.

We use Matomo with the “Automatically Anonymize Visitor IPs” function. This anonymization function truncates your IP address by two bytes so that it is impossible to assign it to you or to the internet connection you are using. Read about their privacy policy here:

Any log files of user data will be deleted after 6 months.

There is no tracking in the member area.

Google Fonts

Our website uses Google Fonts to display fonts. This is a service provided by Google Inc., 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043 (hereinafter: Google). All files are already stored on our local server so that there will be no data connection being established to a Google server when you visit our sites.

Google Calendar

Our website uses Google Calendar to display our latest online meetings. The legal basis is Art. 6 Para. 1 lit. f) GDPR. Our legitimate interest lies in the optimization of our website.

Google Calendar together with the plugin 'Simple Calendar' is a service provided by Google Inc., 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043 (hereinafter: Google) and SURESWIFT CAPITAL INC., a company incorporated in Victoria, British Columbia, Canada with whose registered office is at 113-1834C Oak Bay Avenue, V8R 0A4.

The data we submit using this service does not include any personal data. We simply use an API call to receive stored data from our Google Calendars. Sureswift Capital writes in Para. 4 of "Our use of Dara": "All personal Data (Data of the 'Global Communion' website) is stored securely in accordance with the principles of the Data Protection Act 1998 and the European Union's General Data Protection Regulation.". Maestro Services

We use “Maestro-Conference” services on our website. This is a conference portal operated by Maestroconference – 2323 Broadway Suite 110B – Oakland, USA – +1 877-414-1515, hereinafter referred to as “Maestro”.

If you want to join one of our “Global Communion Calls” live you’ve got to sign up on their website. We provide a unique link for this process that you'll find on the front page.

“Maestro” will store your name and your email address on their servers for the purpose to send out reminders of our upcoming calls. This will happen one day and a few hours before the call takes place. Furtheron you’ll receive a personal PIN number and an unique phone number to dial in into our calls. We won’t use any of this data for our purposes except when sending out notifications concerning the use of "Maestro". If you want to opt out from the “Maestro” conference list you can do so by clicking on the opt out link provided by every reminder from “Maestro” that enters your email account. If you wish to stay in touch with us please subscribe to our newsletter separately.

With your participation on our free “Global Communion Calls” you agree hereby that we record the live calls and share the recorded calls in an edited version in the following ways:

1. within our network of registered members
2. within our network of newsletter subscribers pointing to the latest call.
3. on the front page of our website for anyone to listen into without any need to sign up.

Social media platforms

We are present in the social media world to communicate with people interested in our content.

We hereby declare that there might be data that are being processed outside the European Union. In consequence there might be risks for users to enforce or exercise their rights. Companies from the US that are certified in the Privacy Shield Regulation have opted in to meet the standards of data protection valid in the EU.

Data submitted on social platforms might be used for analytical or advertising purposes. There might be tracking of user behaviour involved which might be used to collect data for user profiles. These profiles could be used to show adverts matching the interests of specific users within or outside the used platforms. There are Cookies being saved on the machines of the users to evaluate their behaviour. This is especially important to mention if users are being logged in in those social media platforms while surfing through the world wide web.

Shariff social media buttons

Our website uses the plug-ins of the following social networks:

To integrate these plug-ins, we use the Shariff plug-in.

The legal basis is Art. 6 Para. 1 lit. f) GDPR. Our legitimate interest lies in improving the quality of our website.

Shariff is an open source program developed by c't and heise. By integrating this plug-in, linked graphics prevent the following social network plug-ins from automatically establishing a connection to the respective social networks server when you visit website(s) on which the plug-ins are integrated. Only if you click on one of these linked graphics will you be forwarded to the service of the respective social network. Only then will information about your use of our site be recorded by the respective social network. This information may include your IP address, the date and time you visited our site, as well as the pages you viewed.

If you are logged in to one of the social network services while visiting one of our plugged-in websites, the information collected by the plug-in from your specific visit will be recognized by the provider of that social network and assigned to your personal user account there and/or publish information about your interaction with our site there. If, for example, you use the a share button for the social network, this information may be stored in your user account there and published on the platform of the respective social network provider. To prevent this, you must either log out of the social network before clicking the graphic or make the appropriate settings in your social network account.
